Break up the 'treadmill' effect of constantly raising motives and improving money, education, or experience with some spontaneous events. The weekend helps, but something mid-week would help, too.

Make the jobs we get related to the education we pursue. It's weird to have an advanced degree in Medicine and be offered a job as a manager in a diner.
